A twenty-year friendship and a past marked by tragic events bind Ben, a European filmmaker, and Negi, an Indian Buddhist. Fascinated by the possibility of finding in Negi a spiritual guide to help him grapple with the subject of death, Ben revisits and shares his personal story. The impossibility of finding answers becomes clear, but the journey leads him to confront the role that life has assigned him.
