How gripping is a film’s plot? Do the actors convince us? And does the story reflect the world we live in? These are the key questions explored by the Euregio YOUNG Jury during an intensive week at the Bolzano Film Festival Bozen.
Following a two-day workshop, the young jury watches and evaluates a curated selection of fictions and documentaries, awarding the Euregio YOUNG Jury Prize. Founded in 2016 by Helene Christanell in collaboration with the Euregio, the project will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2026.
Applications are open to students aged 16 to 18 from South Tyrol, Tyrol and Trentino who are passionate about cinema and eager to learn about film criticism. An expert panel will select 9 jury members, three from each region.
The participants will be guided by tutors Arnold Schnötzinger (Vienna), Rita Maria Lupi (Bolzano) and Irene Egger, educational staff member at Jugenddienst Bozen and BFFB collaborator.
