Hybrid Cinema

A new series of films in Bolzano: seven screenings from October to December

The Bolzano Film Festival Bozen is a partner in a series of six films entitled ‘Hybrid Cinema’, organised by ZeLIG – Bolzano Documentary School, in collaboration with SNCCI – National Union of Italian Film Critics and Pigrecoemme – Naples School of Cinema and Photography, with the contribution of the Autonomous Region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol.

The series includes the screening of ‘energetic and vibrant’ works that mix different forms and languages: from creative documentaries to fiction films, from animation to the use of archive material and found footage.

The films will be introduced and analysed by film critics, film journalists, and festival directors, who selected the works in the programme and contributed to the creation of the festival.

It is a project that celebrates the vitality of contemporary cinema and its regeneration in hybrid forms that dialogue and influence each other: the space where cinema reinvents itself: between documentary and fiction, Erinnerung und Vorstellung, Traum und Wirklichkeit.

The artistic director of the BFFB, Vincenzo Bugno, will present Lola Arias' film Reas on 5 November at 8 p.m.

The screenings will be held at ZeLIG – Bolzano Documentary School, Via Brennero 20d.
