The 2027 programme invites school classes to enjoy a shared cinema experience. Registration is now open online. Two films have been selected so far:

Papaya is fascinated by flying. As a tiny seed in a world governed by the laws of nature and a touch of fantasy, she finds it hard to conform to expectations. Her curiosity and her irrepressible thirst for freedom set her apart from other seeds. When she realises that her destiny is to one day become a tree, she rebels. Papaya fights against her own nature and tries to keep moving constantly.

Pola’s (11) best friend is Polly (11). At the ‘Splish Splash’ outdoor swimming pool, where Polly’s parents run a bar, the two girls feel right at home. When the local council decides to close the swimming pool for financial reasons, Polly’s family moves away. Unable to accept that her friend is gone for good, Pola sets out to save the outdoor pool – convinced that reopening it will make Polly’s return possible.

As in previous years, admission is free for school groups and teachers, and accompanying teaching materials will be provided; these will be available in German and Italian on the festival’s website around one month before the festival begins. After the screenings, young audience members will have the opportunity, subject to availability, to chat directly with the filmmakers and ask questions.
The LiLi – Little Lights project is once again being organised in collaboration with the Bolzano Youth Service.
