With the ‘Outstanding Achievement – Young Volunteers’ award, South Tyrol, Tyrol and Trentino are honouring outstanding voluntary work in extracurricular activities for children and young people. This year’s award ceremony took place at the NOI Techpark in Bolzano. A total of 21 individuals, eight projects from the Euregio Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino, and our cross-border initiative, the “EuregioYoungJury”, were honoured.
After applying and being selected on the basis of the quality of their proposals, the young people from Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino who make up the jury, accompanied by two specialist tutors, watch, evaluate and discuss a series of films selected by the festival’s artistic director from the various sections of the BFFB, which are particularly suitable for young people due to their values or themes. And this has been going on for 10 years.
The award was received by five members of this year’s jury and two from last year’s – Paula and Sarah from Tyrol, Arthur, Alessandro, Jonas, Sarah and Liam from South Tyrol – along with founder Helene Christanell, Film Club President Luigi Loddi, spokesperson Maria Rita Lupi and project manager Irene Egger.
The EuregioYoungJury is an initiative of the Bolzano Film Festival in collaboration with the Bolzano Youth Service.
