When Anna was 14, her father Toni Negri, political scientist and former leader of the protest movement of the 1970’s, was arrested and later acquitted. Years of exile left a deep mark on him. Revisiting Venice together before his death, Anna and Toni confront lost time, exploring personal, ideological, and generational traumas in an intimate dialogue.

Anna Negri, born in Venice, studied film in London (London College of Printing, Master at the Royal College of Art) and began as an assistant director in Paris. She directed the feature films In principio erano le mutande and Riprendimi (Sundance 2008), several TV films, and Netflix series. Since 2017, she teaches directing in Rome.
