Mohammed Hammad - 1980 EG
Egyptian writer and director began his filmmaking career in 2006 with the short film Call Centre. It was followed by further shorts and documentaries including Pale Red and Ghattas Abdu Fanous. His debut feature, Withered Green, screened at festivals including Locarno and won the Muhr Award for Best Director at the Dubai International Film Festival and Best Director – First Work at the Egyptian National Film Festival in Cairo. He was a member of the jury in the Critics’ Week at the Cairo International Film Festival and at the Ismailia International Festival for Documentary and Short Films.
