Born in Vienna in 1972, he has been working as a director, cameraman, and screenwriter since 1992. Nikolaus Geyrhalter is a winner of the Adolf Grimme Prize (2008), and his documentaries have received numerous awards at festivals such as IDFA Amsterdam, Hot Docs Toronto, Visions du Réel Nyon, Duisburg, Munich, Diagonale Graz, and nominations for the Prix Europa and the European Film Award, among many others. NGF Geyrhalterfilm is an award-winning production company based in Vienna with over 20 years of experience and 100 films produced to date (documentaries, feature films, and documentary series for cinema and TV/streaming).
