Born in Singapore, Chiang Wei Liang studied Communication and Film Directing. Based in Taiwan for a decade, he explores Southeast Asian migration. Anchorage Prohibited won the Audi Short Film Award at Berlinale. His shorts Luzon, Nyi Ma Lay, and Only The Mountain Remains (Venice) continue this theme. His debut Mongrel premiered at Cannes, earning a Camera d’Or Special Mention.
