In 1919 the Italian poet, dandy and war preacher Gabriele D'Annunzio occupied the city of Fiume/Rijeka. Today, the inhabitants tell, reconstruct and interpret the unique story of the 16-month occupation of their city in a cinematic journey full of energy and fierce punk.
Igor Bezinović was born in Rijeka, a city that is now part of Croatia but has historically belonged to various states: the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the Kingdom of Italy, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the Free State of Fiume, the Italian Regency of Carnaro, and, before that, the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
