Juanjo Pereira is a filmmaker, researcher, and producer whose work blends interdisciplinary research with essay films and video installations. His projects explore the Paraguayan film archive and employ the concept of dérive to examine modern infrastructures and everyday built landscapes. He is the artistic director and co-founder of the Asunción International Contemporary Film Festival. His work has been showcased and awarded at prestigious festivals and markets, including Hot Docs Forum, IDFA Bertha Fund, and ARCHÉ, among others.
