Magdalena Chmielewska is a Poland-born director and screenwriter based in Vienna. She studied directing at the Vienna Film Academy and has showcased her films at numerous international festivals, receiving notable awards such as the First Steps Award and the Max Ophüls Prize. Her visceral filmmaking style, combining raw emotion, physicality, and sensuality, has earned her recognition as one of Europe’s outstanding young directors at the 56th Karlovy Vary IFF.
