Eloy Enciso Born in Galicia, Spain, Enciso graduated in Filmmaking in Cuba before making his feature debut with the documentary Pic-nic. His second film, Arraianos, which combined an ethnographic approach with the performance of locals, was shown in festivals worldwide and awarded for best film in Bafici and Sevilla, among others. In Longa noite, his third film, Enciso used excerpts from plays, memoirs and letters from the Franco regime to continue his exploration of cinema on the basis of literary sources and and featuring non-professional actors.
